Hello to our friends & family,
It has a been a crazy few weeks for us! With the summer season quickly approaching us it brings many new beginnings and marks the end of a season ( metaphorically and literally).
Many have approached us to ask how we are feeling about leaving for Tanzania so soon ( for those of you who don’t know, we are leaving June 12th and will be returning September 4th).
We have been mostly feeling very grateful to have this opportunity to serve somewhere where there is so much need. Grateful to know that we have people around us that care so much about us and the people of Mloka, and want to support us ! We will say it again, and again, thank you so much to everyone who has supported us in any way!
While we knew in our hearts that God would provide for us financially, we will be honest in saying that sometimes there were moments of doubt, thinking , “$20,500 is way too much for us to raise in such a short time!” But God… the Lord kept reminding us that He is able to do more than we can imagine if it is His will & SO He surely did.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20
Before we depart for Tanzania, we ask that you might join us in prayer:
Ben’s visa for the three month stay has been approved but mine (Raluca) has not yet been approved. As we leave in 3 days, it is easy to feel uneasy about the situation! However, just as God provided the funds, we continue to trust that He will work out the details, big and small.
Second, among our busyness this month we both caught nasty colds and sore throats!
We also pray that God would continue to prepare our hearts for what He would want us to do while we are away. That He would continue to work in the hearts of the people of Mloka, and that God would show us how to love in genuine and tangible ways in a way that those He has brought into our lives, and will bring into our lives may come to know the Lord.
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving” Colossians 4:2
