Hello Friends & Family !
This past month and a half has been very busy for the two of us. We have officially started our fundraising process and we have found that the journey of fundraising is both scary and exciting. You may be asking yourself , “how can fundraising be both scary and exciting at the same time?” In a strange way, it has been scary because it is been revealing areas in our lives where we have been doubtful. Doubtful that God will provide where there is a need, but yet again, we continue to be reminded of God’s promises and by others that, “where there is a will (God’s will) there’s a way”. In all circumstances, we remember to give thanks! Thanks to the people who have already graciously given to us financially, thanks to the people who will give financially, thanks to the people who have taken the time to pray for us, and thanks to those who have offered to donate their services and time to our upcoming Potluck fundraiser on April 6th 2019.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Our potluck event is our next big fundraising event! On Saturday, April 6th 2019, we will be hosting a potluck to raise funds for our Tanzania Journey. There will be homemade food (who doesn’t love home made food?) and there will also be a raffle! Many homemade Makers and friends have generously donated their items and services to be raffled off at our fundraiser. Some of these items and services include but are not limited to: A Photography session, Violin lessons, Babysitting services, homemade Birdhouses & Pepper mills, knitted items, and wooden play sets. There will also be baskets where our guests are welcome to make financial donations if they feel lead too. Of course being a teacher (Raluca) , the night will include a classic game of (Tanzania) Jeopardy !
Truly, the most exciting part of this whole process, so far, is knowing that we are not alone in this God sized journey. We are all part of the same family and we all want to give to a greater cause. When we give of our time, energy, and money, “we are motivated by the need and we remember when someone else met our needs” .
“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27
